There are many instances where it is extremely desirable, better for infection control, cost effective, and expedient to pull a single disinfection wipe from a container with only one hand.
Two hands are often required - one to pull the wipe out and one to hold down the container from lifting off the surface.
I strongly advocate that brackets are installed so that the containers are held in place on carts, walls, or wherever they are found.
A great wipe holder design
I am a big fan of this Ergotron wipe holder featured above. (But other models also accomplish the same task.)
Notice how the holder is loaded from underneath and a bar of metal is across the top of the holder. This prevents any vertical migration of the container as wipes are pulled from top.
When purchasing disinfection wipe holders, do not be tricked by the widespread designs that only prevent side-to-side movement. Vertical movement is the problem.
Also ensure your bracket will not fatigue easily. Brackets that really only on friction to prevent vertical movement are high risk for this.
